The Projects for Peace聽fund聽student-generated community service summer projects that promote peace and conflict resolution.
2024-2025 Deadlines:
Internal deadline: January 20, 2025
National deadline for Oxy聽to submit winning proposal and alternate: February 5, 2025
Purpose:
The support grassroots summer projects that align with the program's mission of promoting peace and/or addressing the roots of conflict. Recipients receive $10,000 to fund their project.聽
Eligibility:
In order to be eligible, a student must:
- be currently enrolled at Oxy (in any year)
- submit a proposal individually, or as part of a group
Nomination Process:
Oxy may nominate one project and one alternate per year.聽In order to be considered for Oxy nomination, please email the following聽materials as individual PDFs to fellowships@oxy.edu by 11:59pm PT on January 20, 2025. Label each file with your name (e.g., lastname_firstname_personalstatement).
- two-page project proposal (note that you should work with and get approval from a partnering organization or organizations聽as you write this proposal)
- one-page budget for project
